One of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale’s greatest achievements throughout its hundred years of history has been to establish itself as an inclusive, modern organisation with a truly global scope. We have got where we are today by working closely with our members who, together, are constantly looking out for the well-being of dogs worldwide.

In the same way as the world’s largest international organisations, the FCI found a base and then turned it into a home. More than 60 years ago, the city of Thuin opened its doors to our organisation and since then it has witnessed our development and growth. Even more importantly, the city and the people who live there have become our allies in protecting and looking after the world’s dogs.

March 20th, 2015 - FCI New Offices Inauguration

A Unique Experience: the International Canaan Dog Conference, 20-24 March, 2015
The Conference is over and all participants have returned to their homes, while here in Israel or in various countries around the world, they have been left with the taste of “more!”. This special event, celebrating 50 years of recognition of the Canaan Dog as the Israel national breed by the Israel Kennel Club and the FCI, provided new understanding of the breed and its country of origin.

15th Americas and Caribbean Congress for FCI Judges, Candidate Judges and Breeders - Buenos Aires, 28th March 2015
Against the background of the wonderful “Dogs & Horses” exhibition at the Predio de La Rural, which took place from 25th to 29th March 2015, the 15th Americas and Caribbean Congress for FCI Judges, Candidate Judges and Breeders was held on Saturday 28th March and was a huge success.

In Memoriam
The Irish Kennel Club are sad to announce the death has taken place in Dublin of well-known International All Breeds judge Seamus Oates.
Not many people are aware that Seamus bred and exhibited a Saint Bernard 'Rocky' to BOB in Crufts 1984.
